AlphaESS team visited one of our commercial projects in Myanmar and made donation to DeeDoke school

On April 27, 2019, Alpha-ESS team visited our commercial project in DeeDoke village, Myanmar, and donated a lot of supplies to the school there. As a part of the first phase of the whole commercial project, we have powered up more than 200 local families with around 600 persons, by a solar-battery-diesel microgrid system of a 50kW hybrid inverter and 160kWh batteries.

In Myanmar, the electricity can only cover the needs of 30%-40% people. From 2016, the World Bank began to issue low-interest loans to the Myanmar government for infrastructure construction, including power facilities.

DeeDoke, located in approximately 100 kilometers south of Naypyidaw, with only one school of poor facilities and lack of teachers. Before the conduction of this project, the school did not have any e-learning facilities, the only power generation equipment were two PV modules with a set of 24V lead-acid batteries, which were only used for night lighting. The computer courses for high school students were only in paper materials, knowledge of computer can only stay at the theoretical stage.

For this Myanmar government's project, AlphaESS has contributed 11 systems of solar-battery-diesel microgrid, with 500kW hybrid inverters and 1483kWh batteries, distributed in 11 villages, five of which have been running for nearly a year, with the self-production and self-consumption mode. And the remaining will also be completed by the end of May, this year.

During this visit, AlphaESS donated a lot of supplies including computers, projectors and pens to the school. Mr. Alfred Wang, General Manager of AlphaESS, Overseas Sales Director of Alpha-ESS Josh Deng, Head of DeeDoke, Headmaster of the school and Operation Director of Mandalay participated in the donation ceremony. "In China, education is the foundation of the country, we hope the donation will help to improve the teaching efficiency, we feel so proud to bring clean energy to the children here," said Alfred.

Headmaster of DeeDoke said that the supplies received this time are the first e-education facilities since the school was established, they will make full use of them to maximize their value.
